Erika's Clothing Options (December 2017) :
On the previous page we introduced you to our first 3D renditions of real-life Erika, albeit imperfect.
So, the real-life Erica likes to wear sporty, loose-fitting, comfortable clothes, jeans, dungarees, etc...
These are some preliminary experiments on a vaguely-similar 3D test-model ... but the dungarees have potential :
Then we had to darken her eyes, and to modify the lighting a bit in order to reduce the unsightly shadows on her teeth:
... and dress her in some variations of the above themes and using slightly different body stats:
Having settled on the "Dungaree Jeans" look, above, we made some more tweaks, widening her face and making it more round, adding a subtle amount of "peach fuzz" hair to her nose, cheeks, etc, and we played with her hair-style a bit:
Face wider / more round (Januaryr 2018) :
COMING SOON (we hope):
Erika in an environment of her liking...
and Erika in a variety of very different blondhair-styles.
And THEN, we plan to start the AGING process!
... yes, such a crime!
CAT WOMEN (January 2018) :
Body/form and texture experiments, attempting to marry a human form to specific cat species:
1) Cheetah:2) Jaguar:
3) Lion:
4) Tiger:
Fly-Lady:
SOMEtimes people say they want a HINT of MESH in 3D Renders, so they can still identify the depth and process, etc... so this time we've created TWO versions:
vs
What's YOUR preference?!?!?

Moving right along...
Created By Hand (January 2018) :
Tipping our hats to MC Escher, once more, we decided to have an attempt at a hand DRAWING and hand that is PAINTING the hand DRAWING the hand...
(Two versions)
6-Lane Highway (February 2018) :
This came about from a project related to a Tender for the construction of an extensive Highway / Motorway system in Ghana:
Fantasy Castle (Feb 2018) :
Coming from Kiwi stock and being avid America's Cup fans, we thought part of the fantasy might be to imagine France willing the next event and hosting it on a lake. This is how we envision the New Zealand cup-base might look, complete with our vision of a possible new yacht formula:
Grumman G-21 Geese
(Feb 2018) :
We have fond memories of living on an offshore island in New Zealand and, when working at weekends, having to fly to the mainland in ZK-DFC, dropping newspapers on the roofs of farmer's houses en route...
This render is temporary... In a couple of weeks we intend to incorporate the aircraft into a much more complex jungle / rain-forest environment, but such things take time!
~
So here's the same Goose undergoing some minor tinkering in a nearby rain-forest in which there are literally HUNDREDS of individual plants, including vines, grasses, bamboos, mangroves, rhododendrums, kapoc, etc :
NEXT-up, we might try pushing the envelope even further, into a much wider-format render... but we might also blow our computer's processing capabilities!
It took some juggling, but we succeeded:
The following version was created for an international 3D-Rendering competition in which it was necessary to incorporate a "Fun River Raft":
The accompanying text read:
"It smacked of a "Mary Celeste" scenario...
There we were, enjoying the sights and sounds of the gentle rain-forest as we paddled downstream, when we came upon a gaggle of deserted Geese.
We pulled our rubber-ducky up onto the bank among the mangroves and rhododendrons to further investigate on foot and then... in the twinkling of an eye... WE TOO simply... disappeared!
Little had we known what "Fun River Rafting" might lead to !
Should anyone ever find this missive, please alert the authorities and send a search party as we're... we... can you hear m... I are yo ... hello?" .......
Just for EXTRA fun, we decided to take the concept even further in the Competition:
WE UNDERSTAND THAT...
SOME of the following renders COULD be deemed to be slightly offensive to some people.
That was NOT our intent !
Our purpose was to try to illustrate that we can, successfully, create 3D models of people, and then "enhance" them in subtractive or additive ways... NOT as easy as it sounds, as it turns out ! It involves a 3D Modeling process called Geografting and, frankly, it pushed our Learning Curve to the max!
First up is:
An Oldie but a Goodie:
Bus-Driver looks down at fellow on pavement and says "Hello, Hello, Hello... You look 'armless enough... Hop up then" !
Disarm Now:
