Hang on a Tick! (December 2018) :
" Umm... When you said 'Hang on a tick', how long did you intend I hang here?
I mean, it's COLD here, this tick is awfully difficult to grasp and the sharks are getting HUNGRY ! "
Final one for the year:
Puggy New Year, Everyone ! (December 2018) :
2019
Have a HUGEly Wonderful 2019! (January 2019) :
Hexa-House (January 2019) :
A concept of our own minds, this is just the unroofed version of the top level of a much larger hexagonal-shaped mobility-friendly house designed to sit atop a hill, affording 360-degree panoramic views. A staircase and elevator serve the lower level (where the main entrance, lounge, kitchen bathrooms, utilities room, bedrooms and study reside, while the upstairs sunken fire-place area is also served by steps and a ramp to facilitate electric scooters and wheelchairs.
The original hi-res render took 4hrs and 15 mins of intensive CPU and Memory processing and occupied 65Mb of disk space.
Medieval Land (January 2019) :
Once upon a time... in a land far, far away...
Krill Hunters (January 2019) :
War (January 2019) :
... It just keeps on HAPPENING!
STOP ALREADY!
French 80th Birthday Card (1st February 2019) :
The card consists of:
317x unique hand-created 3D peonies of different shapes, sizes and colours (plus leaves).
Individually hand-created 3D characters to make the "Bon Anniversaire Frans".
Hand-created 3D ivy.
Hand-created 3D poppies.
The above took three days to create.
Then we added the three 3D cats.
The original 3D model has proportions of 6,000 x 4,243 pixels. (That is more than 3x greater than a large HDMI High-Definition Plasma TV that has a typical resolution of up to 1,920 x 1,200 pixels.)
The computer render from the model took 2hrs of computer-processing to create, using a graphics processing unit containing 7.8 billion transistors.
The primary render from the above model occupied 165 Mb of disk space... which sky-rocketed to 6.5Gb during the render! That was then imported into Adobe Photoshop, where it was "layered" upon the background of Sky, and the result of THAT was then imported into Adobe InDesign, where the "written" birthday wishes were typed using a computer font that Geoff created from his own handwriting.
Octo-Table (3rd February 2019) :
This is an extension from the original plan, which was / is to create a 3D model which can then be exported to a 3D Printer. In other words, just the Octopus and / or the glass table-top (with or without cracks / holes) could be printed, at whatever size might be required.
The other items were added just for the sake of making a "picture".
Girls' Night Out (February 2019) :
"Was that a hand-grenade he had in his pocket or..."
Arched Book (February 2019) :
" Help! Un-paint me from this scene!"
Dark Empty Hall
(February 2019):
Who knows what might be lurking in the dark, cold shadows?
