Moving right along...:
Bike Race (March 2018) :
This render was expressly created for another international 3D Competition:
We've been framed !:
Whilst the above pics were of bright and cheery Summer-time sand-dunes, we were actually coming off a long, bleak winter, so our thoughts were, in fact, much more in keeping with the following damp and cold environment:
Dungeons, Warriors and Slaves (March 2018) :
Complete with sample Book-Cover:
And, for an international 3D competition, the LOWER-Rez, more Politically-Correct version:
Cats' Reading Room (April 2018) :
( ... or It's BEHIND You! )
Lenticular Eyes (April 2018) :
If you look closely you'll discern an in-lens signature and even a birth-place! :-)
Arise, Sir Barry-The-Kiwi (April 2018) :
It would take PAGES to try to explain how this particular 3D render came to be... The culmination of a week of story-lines that somehow had to be encaptured in a single image! But what might be even MORE interesting would be the story that YOU, the viewer, unencumbered by our own vexations, might make of it!

Sometimes it's Hard Being Brown (May 2018) :
An experiment using contract and patterns...
Temptation (May 2018) :
Another experiment with contrasts:
The Spirits Are Willing
(May 2018) :
Just another skin-texturing experiment (You might notice that the ladies have Ouiga Board tatoos?):
2001: A Space Odyssey (May 2018) :
Or, in THIS case 2018: A Euro-Shuttle Odyssey !
Fans of 2001 will no doubt see why Geoff felt compelled to take a photo of an empty vehicular carriage on the UK-to-France Eurotunnel train to use as a backdrop for other 3D Art:
And, again, a much lower-rez version for another international competition (2D & 3D combo, of course), that should depict OLD films/books... and 2001 was written and made into a film 50 years ago, in 1968!
"Lest We Forget" (June 2018) :
6th June 2018
The 74th Anniversary of D-Day:
D-Day foreshadowed the end of Hitler's dream of Nazi domination.
Operation Overlord: The largest air, land & sea operation in History. Included over 5K ships, 11K planes & 150K+ service men. After years of meticulous planning and seemingly endless training, for the Allied Forces, it all came down to this:
The boat ramp goes down, then jump, swim, run, and crawl to the cliffs. Many of the first young men (most not yet 20 yrs old) entered the surf carrying 80 pounds of equipment. They faced over 200 yards of beach before reaching the first natural feature offering any protection. Blanketed by small-arms fire and bracketed by artillery, they found themselves in hell. P-51 Mustangs, Spitfires and ageing Hurricanes strafed the gun emplacements.
Once over, the Allies had suffered nearly 10,000 casualties (4,000+ dead).
Yet somehow, due to planning, preparation & the valour, fidelity & sacrifice of the Allied Forces, Fortress Europe had been breached.
Geoff pushed the limits of an ageing computer [and himself] over several days to make a 3D model to commemorate the event, from which he rendered this diorama:
"Alien Invasion" (June 2018) :
DA new motion picture has been released: "Pacific Rim: Uprising".
To celebrate, a Graphics Contest was initiated. It had to depict one's own environment:
All was quiet, as usual, in the sleepy commune, nestled in the Seven Valleys of northern France's Pas de Calais region.
The cows laid and bellowed, the birds twittered, the horses neighed...
Suddenly, a cacophony:
Dogs barking, Geese honking, cats running for shelter, flocks of pigeons rising from roofs and fleeing...
And then the THWACK of lasers, explosions, cries of terror, as THEY attacked!
The locals rallied, pitchforks, bows and catapults in-hand to confront the marauders...
"Mirror, Mirror, on the Wall..." (June 2018) :
The mirror never lies, right?
